Religion 4 1

Sticking with the religious theme now I'm on a God roll.
I don't usually explain much, but I feel this instance needs to be an exception.

1 John 4:8 (New International Version): "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

The first stage of conveying the message of Islam is the "Word"..i.e. the verbal stage.
The order of conveying the message had been revealed to the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). " O' messenger Mohammad, proclaim (the message) which has been sent down to you from Allah. And if you do not , then you have not conveyed his message" 5:67

When the Buddha start to wander around India shortly after his enlightenment, he encountered several men who recognized him to be a very extraordinary being. They asked him, "Are you a god?" "No," he replied. "Are you a reincarnation of god?" "No," he replied. "Are you a wizard, then?" "No." "Well, are you a man?" "No." "So what are you?" they asked, being very perplexed. "I am awake."

The Lord Came.

The Lord came, though I slept, for my sake,
and took away the dreams that I desired,
for God is Love, proclaim, I am awake.

Left me solely what it is you need to make
a selfless life: just that which is required.
The Lord came, though I slept, for my sake.

My love came, others followed; they the lake
in which I washed with love, wide heart inspired,
for God is Love, proclaim, I am awake.

Sudden, death took them and sorrow, heart’s stake
pinned me down in death and I was tired:
The Lord came, though I slept, for my sake.

Despair had crept to me, despair the snake.
With hope, through Love, despair itself expired,
for God is Love, proclaim, I am awake.

And though betimes I dreamt and faith did shake,
through Love, the required, my faith was sure fired:
The Lord came, though I slept, for my sake,
for God is Love, proclaim, I am awake.
