When Life Gives You Lemons...

...get some big silver cups to drink the lemonade out of.


T2 with the The Lyceum Cup for Prose.

T1 with The Andrew G Menzies Trophy for Poetry.


Both appeared in The Dumfries and District Music Festival (Speech section) yesterday. The Poetry was a little emotional, as it was a big class and T1 and T2 took 1st and 2nd.

I'm particularly chuffed for T2, as, somewhat similar to D'Oub's second boy, I swear he had an imaginary Bantu nanny who taught him Swahili at night. No one but us could actually understand much of what he said until he was about 6, and he went through the Speech and Language therapy hoops.

Good showings for both (places) in the Bible Reading and Sight Reading too.

And yes, we had pizza, chips and ice cream for tea.
