The piper. Skirling, I think. This let everyone within a five mile radius know the wedding was ON.
Ceremony over, the new Dr. and Mrs Brown (she could have been McKay Brown ....) pose with their parents. That's my mother and father-in-law on the right.
The beautiful bride, Fiona (my sister-in-law).
With groom. Kinda looking to the future here, I thought. Or someone else with a digital camera.
Ushers (Bride's brothers) and Best Man (on left). Is it just me, or is that not the most archetypical police pose you've ever seen? (far right).
The scramble (Scottish tradition - Best Man chucks a load of change from his sporran and the children ...... scramble).
The only shower moment and the wedding car, a Beaufort, which I thought was a wind scale. I was taking shelter in the Church at this point, so apologies for only getting some of it. Plus a bit of the actual Wedding Photographer. Husband and eldest two being hardy out front.
Now onto the venue where the reception was held ........
Some of the relatives of the Bride's side.
Can't decide whether I'm channelling Lady Bracknell or Miss Haversham in this one.
New shoes! Shiny, shiny shoes!
And then we drank a bit, and listened a bit and ate a lot and then we danced, danced, danced all night. But this is the only picture of the ceilidh I took that you can tell who's in it.
We stayed the Saturday night and after bacon, egg and tomato the next morning all I wanted to do was ....... go back to bed. Still a bit "ouch" if I shake my head, actually.
