Autumn Walking

Severe weather warning for Dumfries and Galloway this morning, but it's been better today than it was at the start of the week. Face facts, summer's over. Face facts, it never really happened.
Still, here's an Autumn Walk.
The tree down in the bottom glebe, decaying for at least ten years now. A lot of the wood is so soft it's like curd cheese, but it somehow holds its structure. Unless 6-year-old boys are climbing on it. That wasn't a good day.

The process of decomposition, just a great big fungi party.

Meanwhile, there's obviously a giant Blair Witch about.Scaur Water is very high. Finally, the grass is always green. Not such good camouflage for Titus Rabbitscourge. Mists and mellow fruitfulness? Nope, rain, rain and more rain. Happy Autumn.
