Here, There, Everywhere...

Just back and now off again, this time to Aylesbury with the boys so we can spend a few days with big brother at Stoke Mandeville. Mr T, meanwhile, has to remain behind to
a) maintain the Queen's Peace
b) decorate the living room.

Upon return, however, I have two BIG GIGS I must publicise.

The one not to miss is obviously Penpont Tea Room on Monday, the 25th of October, 2.30pm to 3.00pm (so we can all get away for the school pick-up).
As the seating capacity is only 24, I really would advise arriving early, though there is standing room if you go down the step into the Post Office bit. Tea, coffee, chips, cakes, toasties, full breakfasts, tattie soup etc. also available.

Later that day, Monday 25th, I will also be appearing at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. Cambridge Street, next door to the Usher Hall, I'm told.
Anyway, at 8pm in the Traverse Bar Cafe a new event is launching - TraVerses - which aims to explore original poetry, poetry for multiple voices, poetry in collaboration and poetry that is brave enough to enter into and have a dialogue with other forms. Coo!
Anyway, I'm very excited about it as actors will be performing a poem of mine I have always considered impossible to read aloud - M'Bebome Britin - and I'll be doing the rest of a 20 minute slot. The actors might also have a crack at the kimchi poem too. And sorry, but I don't know who else is performing yet.

Straight after, I have to head to Dunblane for work, so won't be back in my own bed until Wednesday. But by then the children are back at school and work should be a little less manic, so hopefully things will get a bit more normal.

In the meantime, you know me and docks, so here's Dundee's Victoria Dock.
I also found out why the Apex Hotel gives ducks away. Because they don't float upright, but lie semi-submerged on their side.
Dundee. Defective ducks. Great docks.

And whilst I was away working, Mr T and the small boys lived it up by going on an adventure holiday in Dalbeattie. Part of the adventure appears to have involved staying the night in a dog kennel.

Yes, they all slept in this. With the dog.

And someone ate a jellyfish, and still smells of jellyfish three days later.

See you all next week! Provided I can remember where I live.
