I been looking at lots of Autumn colour posts over the past week or so, but our Nithsdale Autumn is proving a strange, late one this year. Whilst a lot of the more tender plants are having their colour change we are still very green, and the fruit holds close to the tree.
So here's a bit of not-quite-Autumn to be going on with.
Hostas

My special floral art Hosta (a giant)

The climbing hydrangea

Pear

Apples too

To compound the weirdness, look what I found on the back door this morning. I have not seen his kind in these here parts before.
