On the weekend past a real treat for winter weary eyes!
"Seven"!!!!!! handsome American Robins arrived in our yard at bird alley! Never before have we experienced such a large group of robins sighted in our yard before during the month of February. Their presence(presents) today was a very beautiful and welcome sight!!!!

The stout round red bellies of these most colourful birds reminded me of Santa and I wonder if we might consider these Robins as
Seasonal Santas, bringing with their surprising visit: their gifts of hope and optimism allowing us to dream of the possibility of welcoming an early spring.

Perhaps they encountered that other seasonal fortune teller,
Mr. Groundhog, earlier this week when we learned from him of the possibility of an early spring! Robins and groundhogs are both welcome harbingers of spring! I could not be happier in believing in both of these 'good news' season forecasters.

Got pictures of birds you would like to share? Why not post them on Worldbird
