Winter Birds

I know the majority of the UK has been blanketed in snow, but the Mid-Nithsdale microclimate has kept us clear until today, when we got our first inch or so.
After a month-and-a-half of apple everything, we eventually gave up and left the last lot on the tree. They've held on, and provided a feast for the birds. This appeared to be especially welcome as soon as the white stuff appeared. I've had flocks visiting all day.

Watching from the Rowan

Congregating on the apple

Blackbird muscles in

On the pear

And watching from the shed roof...
